Anne Conway

Sadly, Anne's music life came to an abrupt end after surgery in June 2013.  It is unlikely she will ever sing again and has been left with a speach impediment.

However Anne still has her CD's available and is struggling to continue with her radio broadcasts with Phoenix FM.  She may be having further surgery in the first part of 2014 which may improve matters slightly.

The following bio goes back a few years when Anne was still performing.

Anne Conway has had a long and varied career in the Country Music industry.  She has travelled through much of Australia performing and also toured New Zealand with an Australian Showcase

Awards  and accolades

Anne has received include

•Spirit of Tamworth “Most Spectacular Career Progress”

•Induction to the South Tamworth Bowling Club’s Women in Country Wall of Fame

•Induction into Rocky Page’s Hall of Fame in Barmera, South Australia

•South Australian Country Music Industry Award

•Induction into Tamworth Hands of Fame

•Twice finalist in Victorian Professional Country Music Awards – Female Vocal

•Finalist in 2012 Tasmanian Independent Artist Recognition Awards (TIARA Awards)

Anne’s repertoire is not restricted to country music, she plays a good cross section of popular music and can work with a resident band or is fully self contained with her  custom made backing, guitar and  sound system.   She is finding herself particularly in demand for cultural festivals and the like where she proudly showcases Australian history and culture.

Anne no longer does the “hard slog” of touring and constant performing as a result of illness however she is far from idle when it comes to her music.

Anne records on the Birubi recording label and currently has three C.D. album’s available with the most recent “Just For The Love of It” being released in March 2010.

Every year Anne performs at many events including Bendigo Easter Fair, Australia Day Events, featured artist at various Country Music Clubs, Senior Citizens Week,  NAIDOC Week Events, Dahlia and Arts Festival as well as many private and fundraising occasions.

2012 will be a busy year as even at the start of the year Anne has been booked for several festivals, cultural events, numerous private functions and of course she maintains her schedule of fundraising performances.

Anne has a $20,000,000 public risk policy with “Duck for Cover” which is often a pre-requisite for performance at many venues.
